For general usage instructions, see the Sandblast Cabinets page.

Preparing for Use

  1. First, check its state -- not everyone leaves tools in good condition:
    1. Check the STATUS section of this page and look for any signs on the cabinet.
    2. Drain any water that is left in the water separator near the air inlet.
    3. Check that the sandblasting gun is connected compressed air.
  2. Set the air pressure regulator to about 100 psi, never more than 125psi.
  3. Load your parts into the cabinet through the side door.
  4. Plug in the light.
  5. Be SURE to follow the Shutdown procedure below when you are done.

When you are done with the sandblaster, please leave it ready for the next user:

  1. Unplug the light.
  2. Drain any water from the water separator on the air line.
  3. Turn the air pressure regulator down to 0
  4. Disconnect the compressed air line and electricity, restore them to where they belong.
  5. Clean up any abrasive dust which may have found it's way out of the cabinet and onto the floor or surrounding area.
