This is one process to create and update a Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

  1. Take a photo of every material in a shop, focusing on any labeling available.
  2. Lookup on the web for the most authoritative and recent SDS for the material. I would either use the site of the manufacturer or the SDS Manager web site as a lookup tool.
  3. Create a shop specific wiki page for all SDS's in the shop based on the Machine Shop MSDS.
  4. Print all the SDS's and place them in the shop specific binder.

If the list of materials is big (> 20?) then I preferred to:

  1. place all the photos in a google photos folder for reference
  2. collect the information in a google sheet
  3. Perform the lookup of every SDS as above
  4. Find a way to generate the wiki table from the google sheet and create the shop specific MSDS
