All tools at Artisan's are classified as either red or green in terms of whether or not they need training or testing before use.
You can take a class or get 1-1 instruction to become trained on a tool.

Red tools
Red tools require training and/or testing. They may be capable of injuring the user, breakable if misused, or have other use considerations that mean that training and testing is needed.
Green tools
Green tools can be used without training or testing.
