I was a freelance photographer for twenty years or so, and as a freelancer, it is necessary to have (or develop) good interpersonal skills. I work at Harvard University now as the Customer Service Manager in the Imaging division of the Library. I served on a few committees and I won a “Green Carpet Award” for spearheading energy-saving initiatives in my department. I do not claim to have “board experience,” but I will participate and I do enjoy helping to work through issues in an effort to get to a solution.

I learned of the Asylum through a friend who happened to also be a board member, and after a single visit I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I am a generally gregarious person, I am a good communicator, and I would welcome the opportunity to serve this great collective in a way that helps relations between the board and the membership.

Bio

I would like to be considered for the open Member Liaison seat. I am relatively new to the Asylum, having only joined at the beginning of this year (2024), but already in my short stay the interactions I have had, the connections I have made, and the advice that I have received, have clearly demonstrated the value of the Asylum as a place where a collaborative spirit and a genuine willingness to help one another can make things happen.

I was a freelance architectural and museum photographer for twenty years or so, and as a freelancer, it is necessary to have (or develop) good interpersonal skills.

Thank you for your consideration.
