Scanning using a PC

- Connect your Windows laptop to the Ethernet network. You cannot scan using the wireless network.

- Install the Canon LEI Scan app (located here [1]) on your Windows laptop. You need to scroll down and hit the "Load More" button twice to get to the page with the LEI Scan app .zip file. This darn thing NEEDS to run as an administrator or needs to be granted network privileges depending on your version of Windows. You might have to stop it running and restart it as administrator.

- Follow the instructions on this video starting at 3:33 [2] to detect and number your laptop.

Scan to a file saved on your computer:

- Scan using the button that looks like a single file folder.

- Choose your file type, brightness, contrast, cropping, resolution and then hit the scan button.

- The file will show up on your laptop automatically.

Scanning to a USB drive inserted in the scanner:

- Insert the USB drive.

- Select the button that looks like a USB stick.

- Select TIFF output format. (This is the only format that can be used with USB scanning)

- Select other scanning parameters - Scan
