This tool has a mounting jig for attachment to the acorn tables, that has not been tested for weight capacity. The tool can also be mounted in one of the vices attached to the metal shop’s acorn tables.

Use for:

  • Rolling / bending metal tube (measured by outside diameter).
  • Equipped with a ? diameter die set.
  • Additional die sets need to be purchased for other tube sizes.

Do Not Use for:

  • Do not bend wrong tube sizes with a given die set. Die sets are specific to tube size.
  • Do not use for pipe. Tube is sized by outside diameter, pipe by its theoretical inside diameter.

Hazard Analysis

  • Eye protection required. (Metal can snap while bending. Flakes of rust, mill scale, or paint can become airborne.
  • Cuts / Scrapes from sharp cut edges of workpiece. Use of gloves is acceptable when using this machine.
  • Pinched fingers, skin.
  • Cuts / Scrapes / bruises if care is not taken to prevent metal stock from slipping during the

bending process.

Notes and Best Practices

  • Never use pipe bending dies on tube, and visa versa. The sizes won’t match.
  • Max Capacities. For the MB-105-HD bender, 2” O.D. max tube diameter. For the MB-105 standard bender, 1.75” O.D. max tube diameter.
