My name is Sarah Nagle, and I'm writing to ask you for your vote for Gallery Panel this election.
Firstly I want you to know that the Gallery Panel is composed of seven Panel Members and the Gallery Lead, so this is not your only vote! The work of the gallery could not be accomplished without all core roles in addition to the countless others who contribute.
I have had the privilege of serving on the gallery panel from it's very beginning. I was initially inspired to join this work by both my sister-in-law's stories of her work as an art installer and curator, and by a desire to see and learn about what our varied community creates. I have been delighted to be learning how to display artworks of all kinds to their best potential- mechanically and aesthetically. Helping to create our documentation and procedures, testing and revising, in hopes of the gallery continuing for long after individuals move on has been a new and engaging challenge for me. Creating space to celebrate the work created by our community and bring us together has been an amazing experience, and I would like very much to continue it.
Some more about me: I have been a Deskie since March of 2023. I am typically on the Friday evening shift, which alternates being very quiet or very very busy. I can be found happily working in any and all of the shops located in Holton, and though I have made some forays into the woodshop and other Antwerp shops, I don't work on those crafts as often as I might like. I am most often in the composite shop, creating glowing rocks for my little tiny business. My personal work also includes LED arrays, watercolors, sculpting very tiny things, metal clay experiments, jewelry and enamels, and knitting excessively complicated patterns.
