To use the Big Oven

  1. Preheat oven 20 - 25 minutes before needed.
  2. Turn on both FAN and PID switches. (The LIGHT technically works but is ineffective. )
  3. Use to set the target temperature. This controller is in Fahrenheit.
  4. When finished working, turn off both FAN and PID switches.

PID controller

The PID controller may overshoot briefly (10-20 seconds) before settling on the desired temperature. This is normal and no cause for concern. Remember The PID controller will maintain the temperature to within 1 or 2° F after settling. Do not try to over-compensate for these slight variations. This can cause the PID controller to behave in unexpected ways.

Warning Do not adjust timer!

This is an oven-safety timer, not a work piece timer. The timer will start counting down from 4:00 hours as soon as you turn on the oven. If you are working more than four hours, shut FAN off and back on again. The timer will restart.

Remember

Powder baking times are from when the work piece reaches the desired temp. Start your timer count once the oven regains its temperature after the door is closed. With experience you will learn to gauge how much additional time is necessary for what size pieces.
