Three google calendars hold all A2-related events:

  1. A2 Classes Calendar
    1. Includes classes offered at A2
  1. A2 Internal/Private Events Calendar
    1. Includes events and meetings for A2 Members ONLY.
    2. Includes private events not necessarily open to all membership (internally or externally hosted) that takes place at A2.
    3. E.g. Member meetings, Committee Meetings, Socials, Private Events (internally or externally hosted)
  1. A2 External/Community Calendar
    1. Includes events that are open to everyone. This will be publicly visible.
    2. E.g. classes, shop nights, volunteer events, public events (internally or externally hosted)

The purpose of these calendars is to give members and non-members a holistic view of events that are occurring at or relevant to A2. Members can request events to be added to the internal calendar (see Workflow section below). These are tools that can provide folks with the awareness of how shops & spaces will be used, and to encourage participation & engagement with everything A2 offers.

Specific events in each calendar will be tagged ( [ ] ) and color coded as tabulated below.

Visibility

All calendars are posted on the website!

The public-facing calendar is located here (under Learn > Upcoming Class Calendar). It has both Classes and public community events visible.

The Internal calendar is currently located here (under About > Member Calendar).

You can also view each specific google calendar via these links:

Access & Use

To add an event to the calendar & send invitations to members, email front-desk@artisansasylum.com with:

  • A subject line with [For A2 Internal or External Calendar]
  • Event description
  • Date & Time
  • Location (please make your own reservations as necessary)
  • List of invitees (e.g. members, staff etc. )

To add an event from the calendar to a personal calendar either:

  1. go to the google calendar and “copy” or download the calendar invite (this will not enable you to follow any updates)
  2. accept the initial invite sent by front-desk (or request a re-invitiation)
