Artisan's Asylum Machine Shop Rules

Warning Safety glasses Eye protection required!


1. Safety goggles are required at all times.

2. Sturdy, closed-toed shoes and long pants required.

3. Every powered tool in this shop requires testing or training from a supervisor.

4. If something sounds wrong to you, then it probably is. Stop, step back a minute and assess the situation. Ask someone if you are not sure.

5. No gloves of any kind.

6. No wood. Plastics OK!

7. Be awesome. Clean up after yourself. Clean your tools and put them back where they came from.

8. Report all broken equipment to maintenance@, and tag with a Red Tag.

9. We are a volunteer-run shop: all cleaning and fixing is done by people like you.

Violating these rules will result in revocation of shop privileges.
