I joined A2 in the spring of of 2012. My first impression was one of amazement. I started to understand the importance of spaces like A2, it is a place where creativity is democratized and social innovations can take place. My first stint on the board of directors (11/16 - 11/19) we revamped the Bylaws to conform to nonprofit standards and began to professionalize the board. During the pandemic, I helped keep the facility open to make PPE. I assisted in the move from Sommerville to Allston. I joined the board now to help A2 integrated into the Boston creative landscape and to help establish it as a true public resource.
I am a retired Cell and Molecular Biologist. I am on the board of directors of the Foundry Consortium in Cambridge, where I co-chair the governance committee, and sit on the development and programming committees.
