Approved Materials for ShopBot
Woods
- Plywood
- Hardwood
- MDF
- No reclaimed wood, painted wood, wood with nails, exotic wood
Plastics
- ABS
- Acrylic
- Polycarbonate
- PETG
- No PVC
Composites
- Solid-Surface (e.g. composite counter-top material)
Metals
- No Metal
Fiberglass
- No fiberglass or fiberglass impregnated material
Other
- No other materials are approved for use with the ShopBot.
- If you would like to have a material evaluated for use with the ShopBot please contact the ShopBot instructors: shopbotshop@artisansasylum.com
- Please be ready to provide a sample of the material, and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) if you would like it to be evaluated.
