Tool Library
Please do not unmount insert holders from Aloris holders until you've read and understand this section. They are calibrated in the lathe computer, so changing them can result in them no longer being positioned accurately. Tool holders are numbered with small metal plates to align with the T## tool selectors in the computer. If you want to change an insert to a different style, please return it to its original state for other users. If you want to use a different insert holder, please use one of the un-numbered ones.
- T01: Outside Turning
Tool #1 is the reference tool for Work Coordinate System (WCS) #1. All other tools are positioned with reference to it.
The insert is a DCMT 32.52 XM YBC203 Carbide Insert, Shars SKU: 428-1298, about $6 each.

The holder is a SER-0750-K16 3/4" RH universal external threading holder for 16ER inserts, Shars SKU 404-1281
The insert is a 12TPI full-profile insert, Shars SKU 424-1394, about $10 each.
- T05: Boring
The holder is a 3/4" bar from a set of SCLCR holders, Shars SKU 404-2154. The insert is a CCMT 32.52 HR YBC251 insert, Shars SKU 424-3506, about $10 each.
- T06: Internal Threading
The holder is a SIR-0750-P16 3/4" RH internal threading boring bar for 16IR inserts. Shars SKU 404-2224. The insert is a 12TPI RT16.01N 12UN YBG201 full profile insert. Shars SKU 424-1445, about $10 each.
